Receptionist/File Clerk
Big Fire Law & Policy Group LLP is a prominent tribal law firm providing legal representation and advocacy in a broad range of services, with an emphasis in tribal law and federal Indian law serving tribal nations, tribal business enterprises and tribal organizations throughout the United States.
Big Fire Law & Policy Group LLP is seeking candidates with 1 year reception and filing experience to join our metropolitan Omaha, Nebraska office. This position requires professionalism, a high level of organization, and willingness to perform a wide variety of office tasks.
Duties
- Initial contact for greeting clients and vendors with deliveries
- Answer phone calls and direct, as appropriate
- Responsible for opening, saving, scanning, and forwarding mail
- Files all documents in accordance with policy
- Coordinate with paralegal supervisors on file management and electronic storage
- Responsible for organizing the file room and library in office, including scanning and shredding items and returning client files, as directed
- Responsible for coordinating off site storage needs
- Orders office supplies
- Serves as a backup for binder production and large copy projects
- Event planning and logistics backup for in-person events
- Orders office and client lunches
- Ensures the conference room is properly setup for meetings and interviews
- Responsible for light cleaning duties to areas where clients are present
- Assist with office setup for new attorneys and staff
- Assist with organization of temporary storage spaces
- Fill out and submit expense reports for attorneys, as assigned
Requirements
- 1 years of receptionist and/or general office experience
- Highly organized and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures
- Ability to effectively interact, orally and in writing
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a “roll up your sleeves” and team-oriented attitude
- Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computer environment
Preferred
- Experience working with Indian law or tribal courts
